barnsy : old school - new styles
barnsy – old school / new styles is an uplifting journey through dance music — mixing the tracks you remember with the sounds you’re discovering now.
Recorded in Coventry, UK, each edition brings together old-school classics, new-style reworks, melodic house, uplifting vocals, funky rhythms, EDM and bass-driven dance tracks — all mixed with the energy and personality of a proper DJ set.
Created and presented by barnsy, a DJ whose first club gigs go back to 1984, the show is about more than nostalgia. It’s about connecting generations of dance music: familiar melodies, forgotten favourites, fresh productions and new interpretations of the tracks that shaped the dancefloor.
There are no musical boundaries and no algorithm deciding what comes next — just carefully selected tracks, mixed to create a journey from beginning to end.
And that journey is becoming increasingly global, with listeners joining the barnsy family from countries and cities around the world.
Whether you grew up with the old school, live for the new styles, or simply love great dance music, you’re invited to turn it up and come along for the ride.
Old school. New styles. One global barnsy family.
